This morning, as I listened to the harrowing news about the state of the world, a dull anger washed over me. It is not just because the world is at war and the powerful are abusing the weak in ways that border on satanism; it is because the devotees of Krishna remain silent. They act as if it does not concern them, as if they had never read the Mahabharata or the Bhagavad-gita. It is as if our Scriptures and Prabhupada’s preaching have morally conditioned us to turn a blind eye to the politics of these demonic nations —the ones pulling the strings and plunging countries into blood and death.
On another level, yet imbued with the same vices, a similar pattern emerges: it reveals the rot that is eating away at our society. It demonstrates that, in practice, it is ultimately no different from this barbaric world —except in theory and in the distant past of the Srimad-Bhagavatam stories.
When Kishori approached Srila Prabhupada to report that pedophiles and violent bullies were in charge of the Vrindavan Gurukula — doing so in front of the disciples present, the GBC— Prabhupada flew into a great rage and declared that the perpetrators must be severely punished. However, no action was taken, and things simply returned to business as usual. A certain devotee..., who was previously responsible for investigating and restoring order within the Gurukulas, stated: "Srila Prabhupada and Krishna are in control, so everything will be fine, no worries". To this day, these sexual abuses and acts of violence remain the martyrdom of children in certain gurukulas, including the most famous ones within ISKCON. I am not breaking any news by speaking out against this.*
"Like a man lost in debt who turns everything into cash, the soul, at a certain stage of misfortune, draws from every encounter the symbols from which to derive the strength to sustain itself." — Francis Ambrière
The meaning of that quote is quite clear to me: the "soul" stops at nothing to serve its own interests. Krishna Consciousness —whether it be ISKCON, the GBC, the Gaudiya Math, or the many dissenting groups standing against these institutions— is afflicted by the very same evil that is currently gnawing at lost souls.
These Krishna devotees were meant to travel the world and fight the evil spirit looming over it, yet they are unable to open their mouths and denounce the culprits: the United States and Israel.

These devotees lull themselves relentlessly with the teachings of the Bhagavad-Gita, reciting at will that they are not this body and will never identify with it. It is a credo they profess day and night. Yet, in the arena of daily life, they remain captives of that tenacious illusion of "I" and "Mine," unable to break their chains. And I am not speaking here of a few stray souls, but of the multitude. While proclaiming the highly spiritual nature of their soul, distinct from its fleshly envelope, they remain, in practice, intimately convinced that they are American, English, French, or Indian. Their so-called spiritual identity thus vanishes behind the borders of their secular origins.
These devotees harbor a hatred toward Muslims. I know it may seem abrupt to put it this way, but it is the observation I draw from my interactions with them. India having suffered the brutal invasion of Muslims since the end of the first millennium —much like Europe— our Scriptures, from the Goswamis onward, often allude to this history, the consequences of which are still felt today, precisely through this hatred, which finds its momentum in the fact that Muslims are an integral part of the country, and kill cows.*
This hatred is particularly fueled by corrupt politicians and media outlets, experts in manipulation, dedicated to the destruction of ancient civilizations, particularly Muslim ones. The Americans, for instance, having sworn to redraw the map of the Middle East with their unconditional allies —the British and the Israelis— stand ever ready to perpetrate the most foul and unimaginable massacres. India, Bangladesh or Pakistan are very much concerned also. These devotees are influenced by their morality, even as they pretend to be beyond such monstrous affairs.
* Most Hindus eat meat —and for many, this includes the cow. India is currently the world’s largest meat exporter.
How can they, these devotees of Krishna, ignore that the media hype surrounding Iran is just as deceptive as the one that precipitated the war in Iraq? That conflict, built on a foundation of lies, cost the lives of hundreds of thousands of innocents, the vast majority of whom were children. The same scenario was repeated in Libya —once one of the most stable countries in Africa— as well as in Syria, where attempts were made to overthrow an elected leader, Bashar al-Assad, only to replace him with horror: a ISIS terrorist leader who, with his hordes, slaughtered Muslims by the thousands —to say nothing of the ordeal faced by Christians and Kurds.
And now, Iran. Why? Where does this blind hatred come from? Is it out of a so-called love for its people —the very same people who have endured decades of —illegal— sanctions imposed by America and Europe?
I put this question to those devotees who retreat behind their bead bags the moment they are faced with the reality of this world. Did Srila Prabhupada not teach you that these governments are asuras—demons of the worst kind? Under the guise of democracy, these leaders deploy their military arsenal to sow chaos, orchestrate coups, and perpetrate genocides, congratulating one another on their cruelty. And you, you approve. I read your bellicose comments, which are nothing but servile reflections of the propaganda from these "human rights" and "democratic" countries. Have you no shame?

Why this silence when I call you out? Answer me! Explain yourselves. Do you think a true Vaishnava remains unmoved when human beings are burned alive, starved, or when children are gunned down by snipers? What has the Iranian people ever done to you —you who seem to define yourselves as English, American, or French before being devotees of Krishna? Tell me: does this gratuitous hatred toward Iranians spring from Prabhupada’s books? Is it truly bhakti-yoga and kirtana that have instilled such contempt in you?
You are devotees, is it not? Therefore, on whose side are you on? You seem to have taken the part of those conspiring against Krishna...
In my view, if you heap insults upon Bhishma as you do, because of his silence during the outrage suffered by Draupadi at the hands of Karna and Dushasana, then you misunderstand the very roots of this battle. By such behavior, you are effectively siding with the demons.
In my worldview, Zelensky and Netanyahu are the avowed Asuras of our time. They make no secret of it. They sacrifice thousands of innocent lives to serve a malevolent game. Yet, you remain silent, when you do not go as far as to support them. And despite all this, you persist in claiming to be devotees of Krishna, worthy of teaching His word to the entire world and guiding it onto the right path!
It brings to mind the passage in the Mahabharata where Vyasa recounts how Krishna must guard Himself against the perverse intentions of the royal family members who decided to imprison Him. This way, it facilitates the destruction of the Pandavas:
Shri Krishna : Meanwhile, the wicked four had made the plot ready for action.
Yudhisthira : What was it like?
Shri Krishna : I told you, to arrest me and possibly to eliminate me! because I am behind you. I am behind this insistence on Dharma, and I am behind this war in a way on your side, so that evil cannot have its way. Once I am off the scene, they expect your voice to be silenced for all time, so they have their way.
Yudhisthira : How was this plot met by you?
Shri Krishna : My friend Satyaki scented it. He informed Kritavarma. This was brought to my notice, all by gesture while I was still in the assembly and arguing your case. Do you remember that I had carried all my weapons in my chariot with me on this risky mission? Satyaki was alert and ready for emergencies, and was observing the direction of the talks and how it was now drifting. I wanted to finish the war then and there, if there was even a mild attempt to start it.
Yudhisthira : I know, I know. Proceed.
Shri Krishna : Interestingly, Dhritarashtra also came to know of it somehow. If he was taken into their confidence, I cannot say. But he knew of it. Now all in the assembly began to blame the wicked ones. But they brought forth ropes to bind me. I appeared in my cosmic Form to show I am never alone, that all is in me and I am in all. Excepting Bhishma, Drona and Sanjaya — Vidura also — all else closed their eyes. Fools bound each other as each thought that the other was I. I left the assembly in their confusion. They were not blessed to see me in that Cosmic Light.
Yudhisthira : Did uncle see you in your World Form?
Shri Krishna : I blessed him with the eyesight for that moment, so that he will have his last warning.
Yudhisthira : How lucky!
Shri Krishna : Do not say that; he did not change even after that. I left with no option, returned to this place.

On Friday, February February 6, 2026, a high-ranking Russian officer is targeted by multiple gunshots outside his home in Moscow. General Alexeyev is hospitalized in critical condition and remains in a coma as I write these lines.
He is a participant in the peace talks between Russians and Ukrainians in Abu Dhabi. The goal of this assassination attempt is not hard to understand: to prevent or undermine negotiations, as the Europeans and Ukrainians are not satisfied with the progress. These two parties only envision an end to the crisis through Russia's defeat and have cut off all communication with Putin and his country.
NATO wants war, or at the very least, to bring Russia to its knees. Realizing the insurmountable difficulty of this task, they deploy their demonic plan: kill the negotiators. In recent months, we have seen that this is their way of operating.
When Krishna meets King Dhritarastra and his generals to discuss a peace plan, he is aware that this opposition has little regard for diplomacy; one must therefore remain on guard. To reassure the Pandavas, Krishna confides in them that his chariot is filled with weapons just in case, and that Satyaki, his driver, has been warned: "I would have ended this war by nipping it in the bud at the slightest sign of aggression. Fortunately for them, we knew how to control the situation."
In June 2025, while negotiations with Iran over the nuclear deal are underway, the United States and Israel bring them to a brutal end by launching a surprise bombing on their interlocutors' country, causing Iran’s immediate withdrawal and a diplomatic deadlock. Six months later, with nothing resolved, new negotiations are in progress —this time, as a sign of intimidation, a massive naval armada hangs over Iran’s head like a sword of Damocles. "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me!" This time, the Iranians are ready, and they warn the Americans (and Israel) that if they attack again, they will face heavy consequences.
But you, devotees of Krishna, whose side are you on?
Krishna states that he gives you intelligence in Chapter 10, Verse 10. Then, in the next verse, he specifies the means he employs to purify that intelligence: "Dwelling in their hearts, I destroy, with the shining lamp of knowledge, the darkness born of ignorance."
If you have chosen the wrong side —the side of genocidaires and those who lie as naturally as they breathe, who remain silent in the face of horrific injustices, incapable of compassion and draped in hypocrisy— then your only devotional qualities are those you trumpet without dignity. The Bhagavad-gita confirms my analysis: your ignorance is abysmal. The maha-mantra has no positive effect on you; your devotion has certainly not moved Krishna.

When the media announce that the Iranian state has killed 30,000 to 40,000 people in two days and you repeat it like parrots, your intelligence no longer deserves its name. The Israelis officially declare 70,000 Palestinians killed in two years, yet you believe Western propaganda when it insists that the Iranian government killed half that number in just forty-eight hours!
Such a mental aberration reveals a profound disconnection from Krishna’s teachings in the Bhagavad-gita on the nature and origin of intelligence.
Moreover, from the very beginning of the bloody uprisings in Iran, American and Israeli statements clearly claimed that Mossad agents were massively infiltrating the demonstrations to prepare a coup d’état, with all the terror and devastation that such an aim implies.
And you, devotees of Krishna, supposedly guided by the Supreme Strategist —how can you remain unmoved? Worse still, how can you support this visceral, orchestrated, and genocidal hatred that would plunge Iran into chaos similar to that of Iraq or Syria?
It is a world turned upside down, even among the Krishnas! We are walking on our heads. ■
